Begin at the Beginning

The past month has been a huge blur for me since I left Korea, where I've been teaching ESL for 2 years. Returning to the mother land has not caused culture shock, but rather lifestlye shock - rather, LACK OF lifestlye shock. However, for what ever reason - call it serendipity, fate, timing, or luck - I now find myself on board for what promises to be an expedition of discovery and adventure with my good friend, Dan.
Dan is too generous with his complements, saying that I've been a big help. Really, apart from a few editing tasks (parts of the
Windpath Films website and several drafts of a template letter for sending to people to solicit sponsorship), I've been of little use to him. However, I've always been a slow starter.
In my defence, it is a bit daunting to just dive, head first, into a project that has been growing in Dan's mind for over 4 years - very much his baby. So, the past couple weeks, I've just been gingerly picking Dan's brains to gain more meaty insights into what exactly I am getting myself into! That said, I think it's equally important for Dan to have a sounding board to air and rehash all his ideas before they meet posterity in the film. So, I'll take some props for that.
Presently, the task at hand is getting in touch with Canadian Tire, to see if
Windpath Films can secure sponsorship from them. There is no doubt that crossing Canada and traveling to the North during the midst of winter, will require the van to be properly equipped.
